Celtic

Our family’s heritage is a big old mixture of English, French, a sprinkling of Jewish from way back, and a big dose of Celtic from Ireland and Northumbria, and now of course that we live in the Celtic nation of Cornwall, we are even more aware of the Celtic-ness of our nature.

One of the great joys to me is in discovering Celtic Christianity and understanding the Celtic worldview, which includes finding joy in all things, especially in nature.

The idea of Celtic homeschool is an especially lovely find, and as described here, it gels almost perfectly with our mixture of Charlotte Mason and classical, and “traditional without compulsion”.

Eldest son learned Irish dancing for a while, and husband has been known to play the fiddle!

We will certainly be aiming to add more of a Celtic twist into our homeschool life and day!
